It only seems like yesterday when Warby Parker launched its innovative eyewear platform and now the company is marking its fifth year in business and is now practically a household name. To celebrate its fifth year in the business, Warby is releasing a special “Half Decade” collection with some of their favorite and most popular styles wrapped in various shades of blue, their signature color.
The collection will comprise of five (and a half) frames that include the Roosevelt (pictured above), Fillmore, Wiloughby, Huxley, and Nedwin. And they didn’t forget a core piece of their original launch collection, the Colonel Monocle, which is also getting a brand new blue colorway.
There’s just something about the “Blackout” colorway that can never fail, especially when applied to a pair of Vans classics like the Half Cab. It’s pretty much the perfect shoe. Get them now at The General. More looks after the jump.
The Vans Half Cab is one of Vans’ showpiece sneaks and a surefire store shelf re-stocker and here we see it in a floral treatment that really works. We put it down to the black panelling that holds all the pink paisley hostage, because if it weren’t for that we’d have quite a pussyfooted sneak on our hands and feet here. You can snare a pair from Titolo now.
With the winter months approaching, Vans Vault have had their way with the classic mid-cut Half Cab skate silhouette. The winterised editions come with durable toebox bumpers and heavy clad ripstop textiles to ward off the elements, whilst hiking laces and a little extra padding add to the outdoor appeal. Look out for these sweet sneaks at select Vans Vault stockists at the end of October. News via HB.
If Prince wore a pair of Vans Ballistic Half Cabs he would definitely wear these “wild dove” colorway edition. Seriously who comes up with these color names?! Whatever, they’re still rad as fuck. Buy em now at Atlas and take some more looks at both the wild dove and black versions after the jump.
Vans continues the legacy of the Half Cab with some fresh new colorways for Spring with the Croc Suede pack. Refreshed with Black/Classic Blue and Charcoal/Red color-ups featuring embossed crocodile paneling the all-suede uppers maintain the classic aesthetic with hits of color throughout the ankle collar, quarter, brand tags and central eyelets of each pair. Look for these to drop at the end of this month.
