Alfa drops the top on its 4C Spider

Photos: Alfa Romeo

One of the most exciting designs to come out of Italy gets a proper open-top experience with the all-new 4C Spider for 2015. Building on the success of their hard-top coupe, the Spider features a carbon fiber windshield frame (and carbon fiber top) that complements the car’s lightweight carbon fiber monocoque and aluminum body structure.

The rear-wheel-drive Spider is powered by a 237-hp engine that puts out 258 lb-ft of torque. That kind of power will get you from 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and will reach a top speed of 160 mph. That’s coupled with a twin-clutch transmission and four driving modes: All-Weather, Natural, Dynamic, and Race which deactivates traction control and lets you enable launch control.

Available this Summer, Price TBD, More info at

McLaren reveals Spider variant of its brand new supercar, the 650S. Just like its hard-top sibling, the 650S Spider has a 641 hp twin-turbo V8 and puts in a slightly slower, but still incredibly fast 0-62 time of 3 seconds and a top speed of 204 mph. The two piece retractable hard-top raises and lowers in 17 seconds and can be deployed at up to 19 mph.

Spider On Hand Prank (Video)

My fear of spiders has dwindled due to my ever-increasing fear of snakes, but this would still freak me out.

Favoured by the distance runner but still totally dope as a casual sneak, the featherweight Nike Lunar Spider LT+ 3 looks f f fresh in this Air Max 95-esque black, grey and volt colourway. Featuring Lunarlon, Engineered Mesh and Dynamic Flywire technologies, there is definitely a lot of space-age pointers to play on here, but more than anything we are just plain digging the killer on-foot shot taken by German sneaker store Asphaltgold whom you can snatch up these Spiders from right now.
